  1. I didn’t know there were an update V 2.0 for the LX5 !
Panasonic didn’t warn me, though I have registred my camera ?!
    Thanks Steve now it’s done.

  2. I’ve been checking the official Leica website for what seems like ages, ever since the firmware update was announced by Panasonic for the LX5. I always wonder why Leica is so far behind Panasonic when new firmware is ready.

But anyway, glad it is finally there. As I’m traveling now with iPad only, I will have to wait until I get back home to update, grrr… 🙂

  3. We are talking about Panasonic LX 5, am I wrong? Is there any serious difference between these 2 cameras? My engineer background says that it is not feasible to make different cameras. My marketing background says the Leica branding brings an extra 200 dollars to a panasonic camera.
I will be happy to hear the comments.
Merry christmas and a happy new year

    • Hi Tuncel,

I’ll sum it up this way: if you need a copy of Lightroom then go with the Leica, as you’ll get that, a better warranty and the red dot to boot. If not, then the LX5 is a better use of your money, especially if you can snag one of the sales that have been occurring over the last month.

      cheers,

      Rick
