Bag Contest Daily Inspiration #14

by Vidal Centeno

Greetings Mr. Huff, D Train, NYC, 2014 and Grand Central Station, NYC, 2014 are two photographs taken during my daily commute in New York City while Bathtub Gin, NYC was taken during a memorable burlesque performance at the speakeasyesque Bathtub Gin in New York City in 2013. Thanks for your time and consideration. Big fan of your site by the way.

Best Regards,

  1. These photos certainly conveys the idea/meaning of “Pictures are worth a thousand words”. Awesome!

  2. I like it a lot.
Shooting people is the most difficult.
The grain on the picture N°2 give the picture even nicer.

  3. Very good! Not that it matters a whole lot, but some info on camera/lens/film or digital would be appreciated. Do you carry a camera with you always, and if so, what is it?

    • Hi Michiel953, Thank you! Mea Culpa for not providing further info. I always carry a camera with me, always. Currently I shoot with a Canon 6D and Canon 40mm f2.8 lens attached or a Fuji X100s. When I shoot film my favorite camera is an Olympus OM1n with a 35mm f2.8 Zuiko that was given to me by my father as a gift when I was at Pratt Institute over 30 years ago. Then there is my Olympus XA when I need something stealthy. The photograph titled “D Train” and the burlesque performance were shot with a Sony RX100. Grand Central Station was shot with a Ricoh GR. All the Best.
