Iphone App – Plastic Bullet

PLASTIC BULLET for Iphone!

The modern day Holga?

So you want to shoot some killer creative images but do not even have a camera? All you have is your Iphone? Well, no problem! For $1.99 you can download “Plastic Bullet” and this app will transform your photos into unique and classic images (sometimes).

I have been shooting a ton of images with my Iphone lately and “Plastic Bullet” has been loads of fun. I have been using this app for a few weeks and at first I thought it was just an OK app. The more I used it the more I liked it and I feel its well worth the asking price of $1.99. This app can make your photos look surreal, or even “Holga” like. If you have an Iphone 4, this app now supports high res images so you can take the full resolution images and have Plastic Bullet process them into something cool. Basically, you choose an image from your camera roll and let plastic bullet show you variation after variation. You can keep refreshing the images until you see one you like and then when you do, just save it or email it or post it to your facebook! Its pretty amazing what our cel phones can do these days πŸ™‚

Great app that is loads of fun and can make your Iphone images stand out from the crowd. You can check out the Plastic Bullet website HERE.

Here are a few samples…remember that you can use a new image or ANY other image you have on your phone. This is a great app and can give you some very cool results.

  1. I have been tempted by Hipstamatic, but having played with it on a friends iphone it is dog SLOW!!

This looks like it would be much better, and I get to keep the original photo unmodified too πŸ˜€

  2. @dieter – I believe the main difference is that this app modifies existing photos instead of getting one fixed result from a new picture taken with hipstamatic.

  3. iPhone apps are getting very interesting i use Hipstamatic as main but i agree its bit slow and use Swankolab if i am bored like in a Plane or Car

  4. The better the light, the less important the camera (or software). That said, great fun app! I use Polarise app a lot and really enjoy it.
