Daily Inspiration #328 by Tibor Budai

Hi Steve,

My name is TIbor Budai and I come from Switzerland. I have been reading your website for some time now and I wanted to congratulate you for creating a website rich of many articles, pictures and of course creating a strong community.
I have started doing photography for 2-3 years ago now and have taken the plunge with an M7 film camera equipped with a 35mm Zeiss. I like doing street photography, but also travel photography whenever I have a chance to do it and
lately I have also got involved in documentary photography within a local circus.
The pictures presented herewith are from a trip to Cuba. The first two pictures were taken during a stroll in central Havanna and the last picture taken at the Malecon along the sea where young crowds gather for taking a dive, getting away from the heat with
always keeping a bottle of rum nearby of course! 🙂 All pictures taken on B&W slide Agfa film.
Take care and keep up with this site!
Cheers,
Tibor

  1. I used to love that Agfa film and used it many times in the past -you must have good light though as it can be a bit murky in bad light but it is really beautiful when done right as you have shown -would like to see more pictures from each photographer displayed in the “Daily Inspiration” slot by the way – I will of course be checking out your Web Site. Can this film be got now ? Shows you that photography without film would all the poorer despite the wonderful digital technology we have now. Well done !

    • Hello Fergus,

Thanks for dropping by. You can still get Agfa Scala film purchased especially from German retailers. In tems of developping it, I send them to Germany. But I believe you also have some labs doing it in the US. Let me know by email if you need more specifically some addresses.

      Cheers,

      Tibor
