Audio Loaner Gear and Review Expectations
This page will list my requirements for reviewing your audio gear. I thank you in advance for having an interest in having me review your equipment. My reviews consist of written and video episodes, here and at YouTube. My audience loves HiFi and my videos have sent millions of dollars in sales to manufacturers and dealers over the years.
Starting August 2023 I am setting new guidelines for what I will review and how I will review these pieces of gear so it is fair for all parties involved.
My reviews will bring awareness to your product or even brand. Here is one video I did that brought so much demand for the product, the company has been having a hard time keeping up with the demand.
This video has over 400k views at the time of this writing. Many of these have been sold due to this video.
- I can review your audio product in a video on YouTube and/or written here only if it is related to quality HiFi Audio or Camera gear.
- If you have a low cost item such as a bluetooth speaker or under $300 piece I can review it only on this website via written review. If you want links back to buy the product in exchange I ask to keep the product.
- It usually takes me anywhere between 2-4 weeks after I receive the item until a review is posted. I do not send my reviews to you before they are posted for approval, but I also do not review gear I do not like.
- If I hate the gear or it is defective I will not review it, so will send it back when you supply a label. I do not do “negative” reviews.
- Since these reviews are direct marketing for you and your piece, to showcase your gear and company, if you want links to your shop or website in the video description these will now cost a one time $1,000 to place in. These links will stay within the video description permanently, for the life of the video and written review. These reviews are a form of advertising for you after all and advertising is never free.
- If you want a written review along with a video review with links on BOTH, the cost is $1500 per review.
- If you want zero links and just want either a written or video review, there is no charge at all to you.
- I will not call to discuss talking points before a review as I do not do that. Rather, I just talk about what I love about the gear, why I like it and what it will bring for the viewer or reader. My reviews are not scripted and come from the heart as I record or write.
- I live out in a very remote location in the middle of the woods on many acres. We are not even within GPS on map apps. If you want me to review your piece I only accept gear that is sent to me. I do not do the “we will come and set it up for you” as I found from experience this is a way to instill those talking points.
- After the review I will request a label for me to return the item. If I do not get a label or response within 6 weeks I will keep the gear and will have the right to sell if I desire, so I urge you to send a label if you want the gear back. I have a small home, so do not have room to store tons of gear.
The Written Reviews
My website has been around for over 15 years and has a fantastic Google rank. Most of my reviews, both audio and photo come back within the first 4 results within Google. Many times my reviews are the top #1 hit. Links on the website do very well for products that people like after watching or reading the review.
I have written reviews for 15 years and have a proven track record with tens of millions of unique website visitors over the years. If you have a product that clicks with the people, a review on my website can do very very well for you.
The Video Reviews
Video reviews take a lot of work with filming, editing, rendering, uploading, etc. Some videos do very well, some do well. Links do well in the video description when it is a product that gets attention. I shoot and edit my videos with good production value where audio and video is top quality. Your product will be showcased and I will talk about the experience of the gear more so than talking points or specs that every other reviewer puts out.
