Sony RX1 on the streets of New Orleans
It had been five years. Five years, four states, six homes and one new human being before my wife and I managed to get away together, just the two of us. Her parents were taking the kids and I was turning off the email. The adventure would not be exploring New Orleans; the adventure would be discovering if we had the ability to step outside of life at home – at least for a day or two.It had been five years since we last street wandered, day drank and stayed out way too late without having to worry about the pitter-patter of little feet the next morning. We were due. And New Orleans did not disappoint.
I themed my submission around the three major vices we indulged in Nola: Food, Music, and Drink.
Water dripping into absinthe at Jean Lafitte’s Old Absinthe House.
Out on the street looking through the window into the kitchen of a New Orleans cajun kitchen.
A three-piece jazz ensemble calling down from the balcony of Tableau onto Jackson Square, inviting patrons in for brunch.
