This Oilily 211 MK S.E.T. Tube Amp is Stunning and Affordable!
The Oilily 211 MK Tube Amo Review
By Steve Huff
Last year I reviewed a 300B amp from what was an unknown brand to me called Oilily. I loved it for the low cost, build and rich plump 300B sound. At around $1300 this was an integrated amp that put out a few watts of power and focused on the sound of the 300B tube. It had a lovely soft glow about the sound but the 300B is not the most powerful tube around so wattage output was low. For the cash though…I found it to be one of the better HiFi tube amplifier products on Amazon today. I mean, the GOOD STUFF for a nice price. If you have easy to drive speakers or even horn speakers, the 300B from Oilily can bring magic moments indeed. But it gets much better over at Oilily.

Recently I received another integrated amplifier from Oilily and this time it is the 211 MKII integrated (shown above). This one uses a couple of massive 211 tubes with a pair of 6SN7 and a single 12AX7. This amp puts out 12 WPC but sounds like it is pumping out much more. It is driving my speakers here with ease and without any issue, even to loud levels.
The 211 tube is often compared to the 845 as both are huge tubes that put out a ton of heat and in the case of the 211, it requires mega voltage to run. The transformers here on this amplifier are powerful and of the quiet variety. The sound of the 211 is punchy, impactful, big bodied and also brings a nice transparency. The 845 tube is more airy and delicate but he 211 will drive more speakers with more ease and more solidity and punch.
The 211 MK is a single ended triode amp which means it will bring that “full fat” tube sound with glow, air, body and warmth. Yes it does all of this and the 211 amp here form Oilily is another crazy deal, an even better one I will say than the 300B. The 211 MK is larger, beefier, heavier and looks amazing in the flesh vs the smaller 300B amp. The 211 amp commands attention and will be a conversation starter as well. I simply can not believe the price is under $1800 in 2026. It ships with a remote, has a pre-amp in as well as a balanced input and two RCA inputs.

Yes it is made in China and it is hand wired, point to point. It’s done very well and I have been listening to it in my room for a while now, testing it with small and larger speakers. This amp drives my 92DB efficient SV Gro with authority and life, and without any flaws that I can hear. It drove the Triangle Soltice 3 in a beautiful way as well.
Before I dig in to the sound let’s talk about the amp a bit more. Here are some points from Oilily about this integrated amplifier:
- Class A Single-Ended Tube Amplification Adopts pure class A single-ended output with 12W+12W rated power, matched with 2×211, 2×6SN7, and 1×12AX7 vacuum tubes, providing warm, natural, and high-fidelity sound for audiophiles.
- Premium Handcrafted DesignHand-made point-to-point wiring, wide bandwidth output transformers, low magnetic leakage ring transformer, Japanese ALPS potentiometer, and high-grade shielded silver-plated cables for stable and superior audio performance.
- Wide Speaker Compatibility Supports 4Ω, 8Ω, and 16Ω speaker outputs, perfectly matching various types of speakers, suitable for home audio, Hi-Fi systems, and home theater enthusiasts.
- Safe & User-Friendly Design Built-in 30-second startup mute delay protection, tube protection cover, dual meter display, and infrared remote control for safe, convenient, and intuitive operation.
- Stable & Durable Construction Net weight 30.5kg, solid chassis, excellent heat dissipation design, and strict quality control ensure long-term stable operation and long service life.
The 211 MKII comes with a full metal cage as well as an all metal remote. It does run hot but any 211 or 845 amp will, as this is pure Class A here with giant big power tubes that glow bright. The one I have here is very quiet as well so no big buzzes or humming. There are hum pots in top you can adjust if you start to hear any hum from the transformers. Also, it’s easy as pie to bias. All you need is a screwdriver and this takes a minute or two tops. You should bias your 211 amp after a few hours os listening, then check up on it after a few weeks or months and readjust as necessary.

The amp arrived safe and sound from China without any damage or issues though one of the 6SN7 tubes came loose during shipping. It appeared that it was in but when I powered up the amp it blew a fuse. This was due to the tube being out. I replaced the fuse (it came with 5 spares) and installed the tube. Powered right on and sounds gorgeous.
When this amp came in I was just off an 8 week stint with the $15k AGD Allegro integrated amp which uses GaN Class D power section, a streamer, an R2R DAC and head amp. It’s a special piece but it is very pricey indeed. I expected the 211 MK to be a major drop in sound quality vs the AGD as I hooked up the 211 with the budget $349 FiiO Warmer DAC initially. While the sound wasn’t as fast, explosive or rhythmic as the AGD the Oilily was sounding fatter, richer and deeper as this is a SET amp, class A. It brought some sparkle up top but overall the treble here is smooth and velvety vs raggedy and dry.
The midrange of the 211 tube and this amp here is pretty warm and very rich with a bit of beef/body and illuminated projection. Bass is HUGE and I mean huge. It’s not the tightest I have experienced but it’s organic and fat, though not sloppy. Just bigger. So much so I had to move my speakers a tad to compensate.

Listening to this amp night after night with my SV Gro speakers. I decided to hook it up to the $1349 Triangle Solstice 3 2 way speakers. The 211 was a super pairing to the speakers in my 13X18 room. The sound was again, plump, rich, juicy and with beautiful imaging. The sound is somewhat open and tangible. Voices are palpable. I never felt I needed more power which is the incredible. The 211 MK just drove most of my speakers here with ease.
The Nostala LB12 from Emotiva was another paring that was just so nice with the 211 MK from Oilily.

With the LB12 the 211MK was really delivering the music with a flow, scale and body that was addictive. In fact, this is one of the most beautiful sounding amps I have heard with the LB12 speakers. Listening to some Dean Martin (essential hits album) the popular crooner sounded more real than ever. Intimate, full of life and as if he was still here with us.

One thing I love about the 211 MK is that it is fully hand wired, point to point. It also uses low noise powerful transformers for those 211 tubes as well as my fave preamp tubes ever, the 6SN7. This amp reminds me most of an old fave I once had from Line Magnetic called the 219 ia. The big difference is the 219ia was an 845 amp and cost $7500. It was heavier than this 211 MK but the sound was eerily similar. The 211 here from Oilily lives up to the 211 sound fully.
The Line Magnetic 219ia was $7500 over a decade ago. It uses 845 tubes and 300B tubes. It is also a single ended triode class a tube amp.

I would not pair this 211 MK with speakers that are 87DB efficient but would look to pair this with speaker that have a sensitivity of at least 91db.
Compared to the Benchmark ABH2 amp I have in for review the 211 MK could not be any more different in looks, size or sound. Where the Benchmark setup is all about extracting every bit of musical information from the source, without adding color, the 211 MK does addd color. The 211 MK is not what I would call a super accurate amp but it offers a flavor that many are addicted to. No tube amp will ever be as accurate as something like the Benchmark. Some like perfection while others love warmth and color.

This Oilily 211 MK amp also blew my mind one day when I was listening to some death metal with the SV Gro. Think 12-14 watts can not do death metal properly? With the SV speakers the 211 MK was insane with this genre of music. It was also quite impressive with those $1349 Triangle Soltice 3 speakers.

In fact this combo of 211 MK, FiiO Warmer DAC, Eversolo T10 Steramer and Triangle Soltice 3 was truly beautiful. For a small to medium room it could be all one asks for in a beautiful tube based HiFi System. Total cost of this setup would be around $5600 and not only would it look amazing, the sound can be otherworldly when set up just right.
BUILD
The 211 MK has a high quality build and is not one of these cheap looking amps we see on Amazon often. When you unbox this amp you will be very surprised at the level of detail and build quality for the money paid. The paint job is super nice as well, and I would say it matches the old Cary audio “automotive quality” finish of some of their older products. The 211 MK is in the same blue steel grey as the 300B amp. Very nice and a change up from the usual black or silver.
HEAT!
The 211 MK does run hot so be aware of this. Also, these 211 tubes get scalding hot so never touch them when the amp is on. The 211 MK does ship with a cage as well that keeps the tubes exposed yet covered. This will ensure no kids or pets accidentally touch the super hot tubes. Also remember that this amp is pure class A and a single ended triode. You are getting the full tube experience here so this is not one of those modern day tube amps that sound like solid state. Nope, this amp brings the full sound of tubes.

VS THE 300B
This 211 sounds much more effortless, larger, richer and open vs the Oiliy 300B. It’s a different tube and different sound. It’s much more impactful, pushy and has more drive and energy. The treble here is smooth so never offends and while it doesn’t sparkle nearly as much as the Benchmark ABH2 it offers up something different. Something sweeter, more human. I would take the 211 over the 300b after having both here. It is just much more versatile when driving speakers vs the 300B. I mean, the 211 MK can drive many more speakers than the 300B can. Also, the 211 is larger in size and more impressive in looks, if that matters to you.
Conclusion
The Oilily 211 MK is a bonafide bargain in the HiFi Audio world.
I love finding these deals and showcasing them. I love it all but I love it most when I pay less, get amazing magical sound as well as something unique and beautiful. At $1799 this is one of the best tube amp buys I have come across in decades. The Oilily amps compete and in some ways surpass some USA made tube amps I have had here over the years. If you seek that big rich tube sound of the 211 and have speakers in the 90-91db or greater efficiency range you may have just found your dream amp, for much less than you thought you would have to pay.
I will say it has been here for a few weeks and has been stable and without one issue. I can not speak for long term reliability as I have no idea how this will age. It certainly looks like it will last but time will tell.
These are sold by Oilily direct on their website HERE as well as on Amazon HERE. They may take some time to get to you after order. Mine took 3 weeks or so but this one is worth the wait.
