Daily Inspiration Bag Giveaway #21 by Leonard Manfred

Daily Inspiration Bag Giveaway #21

by Leonard Manfred

I am sending these three jpegs I took last week with my trusty Sony A6300 and Sony 70-200/4 not because I feel they are great photos or anything really special, but because they are relevant to what we have been going thru here in Southern California.

I am a news cameraman working for one of our national networks, and was covering the Sand Fire in Santa Clarita, CA, doing the morning live shots . As the sun started to light up the sky, the soft bounce of the sky and the smoke combined for a really beautiful light.

Even in a tragic fire where at least one person lost his life, structures were burned down, and many creatures of the forest lost their lives, there were moments of beauty and peace.

Thanks for the work you do.

  1. IMHO you are being very humble here, Lenny, because I truly believe that these kind of shots are at the pinnacle of photography. Registring significant moments and freezing them for ever in still images is where photography excells like no other artform. And a good photographer combines these moments in an esthetically ritch work. This is exactly what you do here, Lenny. As far as now, you got my vote!
