  1. I have one for sale over at fredmiranda if anyone is interested.
$4700 fully insured and PP included. Like new.

  2. Fantastic lens and highly recommended! I have the Summilux 50mm f1.4 as well and cannot recommend highly enough. Steve, your blog is awesome mate and it really helped me make the final decision to splash the cash on an M9P and the lenses. I sold my house to do it (well I was in the process of emigrating to Chiang Mai in Thailand and travel photography will feature in my business plan).
Just to note, I tried the Noctilux 50mm and although the images were very impressive I found that the size and weight of the lens meant that the camera felt very unbalanced. I suppose if money was no object I would have one but I am knocked out with the 50mm f1.4. You can check some images on my Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/delaclochephoto?bookmark_t=page
    Cheers

  3. Hi Steve,
The 35mm lens on a 24×36, produces to my eye exceptional images, I would love a f1.4 but not long bought an MM, I think my funds are limited. Lenses 35mm to me (anyway) produce exceptional images, I’ve loved that focal length from the first time I bought a used OM lens at university. I think that and the 50nn are my favourite focal lengths!

  4. I got mine this tuesday, Norwegian store, japanphoto.no, had five in stock when I ordered. I almost couldn´t believe it, as they are scarce, and didn´t quite until I opened the box and saw 11663 stickers on it. Excellent optics, and scary sharp. Mine has a tadbit of focus shift from about f/2.8 to f/4, but nothing noticeable beyond that, and I find my use is primarily at f/1.4 down to f/2.5 anyway.

    • Steve regularly notifies us when scarce items are available, from a variety of sources, few of which he gets anything from. Most are smallish specialty stores who would have no way of knowing that they sold a lens because Steve mentioned it on here. Steve is doing us all a favor, plain and simple. Not me, because Leica gear is way beyond my limited means, but I still have fun checking the goodies out.

      • Exactly, I have done this since day one of my blog, even when it was hosted by apple at mobile me 🙂 I post it because there are MANY who were looking for this lens. It is a service. I have had thousands who found what they wanted by a post I made..and they thank me. Advertorial? Of course, I post it when it is an in demand item as a service to readers. Sometimes I get a small commission if it is through B&H or Amazon. PopFlash is a site sponsor but I do not make commission from them. In any case, I have done this forever and will continue to do so. Thx for reading and thanks Mark for the reply as well.

  5. After pre-ordering the “new” Leica M I wouldn’t be able to stretch for this. Unfortunately I’m not in the market but I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with PopFlash so I won’t ever buy from them again.

    • I have purchased from them and they are great. They generally have a large selection of Leica cameras and lenses to demo in the shop. All of the items I have purchased have come with both the gray outer box and the Leica inner box.

    • Hey thanks for the tip! I’ve been looking around for a new 35mm for a while and just happened to see your comment. Phoned them today and ordered one!

  6. Boy, its a beauty alright but its way out of my league these days’. I thought I ended my Leica passion a few years back but I still realize and miss the quality of their glass.
