New Limited Edition Versions of Leica Classic Lenses. Summicron, Summilux and Summaron
Leica has. three new Limited Edition lenses for sale this month.
The new 50 Summicron APO has a new vintage look, and it is limited to 700 lenses worldwide. PRICE IS $9,959 for the 50 APO. Ships Feb 28th 2019. I reviewed the original 50 APO HERE and HERE.
The new 28 Summaron has a new matte black paint finish and is limited to 500 pieces. PRICE IS $2995. Ships Feb 28TH 2019. I reviewed the 28 Summaron HERE.
The 28 Summilux f/1.4 is now available in Silver, of course for a limited time as only 300 will be sold worldwide. Price is $6995. Ships Feb 28th 2019. I used the 28 Lux on the original M-D HERE.
As the camera companies start to compete harder for ever smaller number of full frame buyers (according to the latest sales figures) think anyone will try coming out with a simpler camera ala Leica or will it be more pixels, more buttons, and more menu complexity all the way?

Here we go again, lovely lenses Leica, hopefully that will generate some extra cash to speed up introduction of L mount 2.0/35 and 2.0/50 for my SL that many of us have been waiting for. Kind regards.

Possibly a small correction… the Black Chrome APO is priced $9595 at the Leica Store Miami. Same price as the LHSA versions last year.
